8th FOUNDATION DAY Celebration by The Hope Foundation
On 29th of October 2007, the Foundation Day of The Hope Foundation was celebrated. All the partner organizations participated in this event. The theme of this event was festivals of India. Each of our partner’s performances where based on one of the festivals, which bring the promise of light to every individual. Children from all the partners danced in large numbers and the stage was awash with colour. Green, red, yellow, blue, purple, white, sapphire and many more colours were astounding with inner beauty and children in colourful dress were displayed beautifully on stage. The children in their colourful dress were full with passion. The end result was more than we could have wished for.
Hope was delighted with the presence of Hon’ Minister of Health Dr. Suryakanta Mishra, Hon’ Mayor of Kolkata Mr. Bikash Ranjan Bhattacharya. Both of them kindly agreed to join the Foundation Day and they were presented an overview of the Hope Foundation. They were pleased to learn about the work of the organization and offered future support. Their presence enhanced the event. Both Dr. Mishra and Mr. Bhattacharya enjoyed the performance of the children.
When children perform on stage it gives them a kind of self-motivation. Their performance highlighted their great association with The Hope Foundation. In the current scenario the primary concern for us is improving the capability of children in a way that they take pleasure out of it. Celebration of Foundation Day is such an event, which augments joy, happiness, peace and play among these children.
