Hope Kolkata Foundation
Our children, the future of the Nation
Across the world, some things never change. Such as the inherent nature of children. Children are innocent, vulnerable, dependent, curious, active and full of hope. What does change is the circumstances they are faced with and the situations they live in.

This is exactly what makes children on the street different from others around them. They are fcaed with the demons of physical danger, poverty, hunger, homelessness, epidemics and illiteracy. These children are often found as orphans, engaged in hazardous work and petty crimes or end up as victims of prostitution and sexual abuse.

The Hope Kolkata Foundation (HKF) was established in February 1999 for the protection and development of children on the street and in difficult circumstances. We work for the holistic development of street children, providing shelter, nutritional diets, education, medical care, health care benefits, counseling, recreation, integration into family life, support and love. We do this by partnering with voluntary organizations working for children. We provide expertise, voluntary service, guidance, training to the staff on administration and management, and monitor and evaluate the programs.

OUR MISSION
The HOPE  Kolkata Foundation is committed to provide sustainable development for the underprivileged and vulnerable population with special focus on children and person living in difficult circumstances by acting as facilitator through community development through provision of education, vocational training, health awareness and service, shelter, nutrition, counseling, recreation, rescue & rehabilitation, repatriation, awareness on rights, emergency relief, capacity building, fund raising through socio, economic and spiritual development regardless of race, sex, religion or politics to achieve goals.

PHILOSOPHY
The Foundation is a partnership of experienced, focused individuals who, regardless of race, sex, religion or politics work together to put in place the initiatives necessary to achieve its objectives. The Foundation has identified the underpriviledged children/persons as those who are street dwellers, street workers, sex workers, drug abusers, terminally ill, those suffering from sexually transmitted diseases, the mentally ill, people with disability, the urban and rural poor or those in need of counselling, medical, health, nutritional, educational, vocational and recreational facilities.
AIMS & OBJECTIVES OF THE HOPE KOLKATA FOUNDATION
•  Ensuring the rights of the child.
Empowering women through social and economic development.
Supporting organisations working for a similiar cause by providing funds, technical assistance and capacity building.
Providing prompt assistance and relief in emergency situations.
